According to reports there are some Adobe users that are claiming that the reason Adobe has not fixed an eight month old security issue is due to the slump in sales of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and other software. The security problem affects Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and the Adobe Flash Player and solution providers agree that Adobe has been dragging their feet involving what they feel is a critical issue for security of the user’s computer. On July 22, Adobe released a security advisory to users regarding the vulnerability that exists in the current version of Flash Player v 9.0.159.0 and v 10.0.22.87 for Windows, Macintosh and Linux computer platforms. One solution provider has been keeping up with the eight month issue and with complaints and has stated that users are becoming discouraged with Adobe’s lack of attention to resolving the security issue and leaving computer users vulnerable.

According to spokeswoman Alison Southwick there has been a surge in scams that involve making money from home claiming large paychecks and little risk that attract people that are vulnerable and looking for jobs. Along with credit counseling scams this appears to be among the worst. The most recent of these claims they will pay Twitter users after signing up for a free training kit and the work will involve large companies. What the Better Business Bureau says happens is that there are large monthly fees from the person signing up for this kit. One of these companies claims that after signing up it is possible to make over $800 in one day working on Twitter, along with another company that claimed that one of their employees made $390,746 in one year working for them. People with bad credit appear to be most vulnerable to this type of scam. They should seek free or non profit credit counseling to help with debt consolidation and other issues. Credit counseling is key for many people. In the terms and conditions of these companies according to the Better Business Bureau will be a monthly fee found, that usually will go into effect after a 7 day free trial, then the home business person will be charged a monthly fee that can be as low as $47 a month or $99 a month and higher.

In internet news, the new Microsoft search engine named Bing works like other search engines with some key differences. The differences can make searching easier for some people and for others it seems like a more drawn out way of searching. All in all, it is giving California based Google a run of competition.Searching for a broad topic on bing.com will bring up a list of subtopics on the left side of the screen. These will include shopping and other related items, if the search is being done for tech items the left column will have listing like tech gadgets, new computer technology and tech news. Clicking on these will bring up selected websites within the topic. Go to California News for more headlines concerning safety, technology and other news from California.
There is also a feature that enables the computer user to hover their mouse over an orange dot appears and then the right side of the dot shows what is one the website without having to open each site to see if it has the information being looked for.

If you happen to be searching for an ideal office computer desk for your home office, I do suggest the brand news, fresh, Studio RTA A-Tower Computer Desk. This rather tiny but cool computer desk is really ideal for most cramped areas. It is a somewhat tall unit and it has shelves which more easily permit storage space. All in all, it is really quite superb for keeping all pertinent office supplies as well as organized papers. It fits very nicely into a corner so you will not have any unused space.
The Studio RTA A-Tower computer desk is really strong and producers have also added steel tubes to make the frame even that much stronger. The quality features of this particular desk are actually quite varied. For example, it comes with a cherry finish which looks rather superlative and may really transform the look of the office. This really is the perfect size for your computer desk in an office that wants to add class while still remaining on a budget. It takes up very little space and your other office furniture can place near it and still look nice. By the way if you are personally looking for some good then I might I suggest the good folks over at Sitbetter.com as they can really help you with a nice broad array of ergonomically correct office chairs All in all they have a lot to choose from and their is really nothing like having anice new, modern office chair to complete your workspace and help you to be more productive overall.
When you purchase the Studio RTA A-Tower computer desk you will have put together before you can set up in your office. You can search on the internet or find it at your local office supply store at excellent prices.

I have been involved, in one way or another, on the world wide web since basically it’s origins into the mainstream around 1993 or so , when the first real browser came out that allowed you to navigate the web in the way it is navigated currently,
with all of the images and so forth. I launched my first website some two years later, and let me tell you I have seen so many changes since that time. After all, at that point in time the larger search engines on the ‘Information Superhighway’ as it was mostly called at that time were excite, Hotbot and Whatuseek, Scrubtheweb and one that no longer exists called ‘WWW Worm’. Yahoo was a just a directory and email/news site and did not evens earh the web yet (although you could search it’s rather limited directory of hand-selected sites). At that particular point in time, your meta tags were generally enouph to get your website to the top because there were so few websites out there. Boy have things changed since then! Broadly speaking,
there were a lot of large portal type sites which no longer exist today. Many went down went the ‘dot com bubble’ went bust around ten years ago. They had been funded by rampant speculation, because back then if you had a dot com domain and any reasonable idea you could get funding, someimes lots of it. I mean, you could get millions of dollars to develop a site, and a lot of those sites never made a penny. For every Amazon.com there were hundreds of sites that went completely belly-up.
As a result, we are now looking at a completely different world wide web than even ten years ago. Of course, a some sites like yahoo have remained a constant staple, but so many sites which were hyped up to the moon are long gone. One factor in the ‘rebirth’ of the web was the imporvement of encryption methods and secure servers. In the 90’s the perception was that it was fairly risky touse your credit card in an internet commercial transaction. With imptoved encryption and security, it is now almost second nature to most folks. In truth, even back then, many of the risks associated
with an online transaction were not much different than using your credit card in more “normal” situations. of course, maybe it was kind of a good thing that people did not use their plastic so much. Right now it seems that a lot of people just need some good credit counseling if anything. I mean good Debt consolidation, Debt Management and general credit counseling are key factors in the world right now. Like I said, it was mainly the perception. But that perception was actually one of the reasons many internet start up companies failed. Many of them had a great idea and sound technology.

The web firm NebuAd has shut their office down folloing fierce opposition over their methods of gathering Internet user’s information. The company, with their office located in Redwood City, California, was in business as a targeting advertising system that was to track Internet use for ad that could be made appealing to the interest of Internet surfers.
In the past the corporation had in excess of thirty world wide web providers using their service, bur these same users later filed a legal lawsuit for over five million dollars. As an aside if you happen to spend a great deal of time on your computer and you decide to obtain a new set of office chairs it is suggested that you take into account the ergonomic aspects of the chairs. This is particularly true if you send a lot of time on the computer. In general, ergonomics are a truly prime part of office chairs, and there has been a great deal of research into this area recently.
Phorm Inc. Ergonomics are indeed a vital area of a healthy workplace in general, and office chairs in particular.
This factor is too often overlooked due to budget considerations. Now back to the conclusion of the article; A UK owned firm is having similar problems with world wide web users worried over their privacy. The company has deals with the three largest Internet providers that account for about seventy percent of the British broadband market. The Foundation for Information Policy Research in Cambridge, United Kingdom spokesperson Richard Clayton stated that the prospective partners of the company’s services are irritated with some of the firm’s practices.

If you plan on driving your automobile while intoxicated this holiday season in New York City or the rest of the state, for that matter, then I would recommend even more caution than usual. All in all, new York will be cracking down in a big way. Last year, for instance, some 28 percent of all deaths in New York State were due to drivers crashing who happended to be drunk. New York State officials will be conducting a crackdown from now until the New Years. Last September first, there were some two thousand alcohol-related arrests. These measures are vital from the standpoint of prevent death and personal injury on the highways and biways, both in New York City and upstate

Drivers should expect to encounter sobriety checkpoints. Officers will be out in force with saturation patrols. Drivers who have an alcohol limit of 0.08 percent or more will be arrested. A blood alcohol content of 0.05 percent is considered driving while impaired. Incidentially if you reside in New York City and require a good New York City personal injury attorney you should certainly take a look at the Law Offices of Geller & Siegal as they are indeed leading New York City personal injury attorney around.

In addition to these actions, the Albany County District Attorney, David Soares, is hoping the new DWI and Vehicular Crimes Team to help prevent drinking drinking and therefore personal injury while drunk. A board of advisors will likewise include in the DUI penalty the ability for the District Attorney office to confiscate the vehicles of offenders. This is a particular policy that New York City has had in place in the past, but was problematical indeed.

In New Jersey, the enforcement program will run from December 8, 2008, through January 2, 2009. A spokesperson for the city, Joe Ryan, wrote the following message taken from the Bayonne Now article, Police: Drunk driving crackdown this holiday season, published November 27, 2008:

The holiday season in general and Christmas in particular is often perceived as a time for social gatherings, which usually features the injestion alcohol. The goal of the program is to raise overall awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. The police will use high visibility enforcement, and will arrest motorists who choose to drive while impaired by drugs or alcohol.

Mayor Mark A. Smith said, “I would like to urge all residents to obey the law and exercise caution this holiday season. The Bayonne Police Department will take all appropriate steps to keep our streets safe. I would ask the public to plan holiday travels carefully, so that no impaired drivers end up behind the wheel.”
Impaired drivers kill nearly 18,000 people on our nation’s roads each year. In New Jersey for 2007, 205 of the 724 motor vehicle fatalities were alcohol-related.
Law enforcement agencies participating in the Over the Limit Under Arrest 2008 Year End Crackdown offer the following advice:

- Be responsible and don’t risk it…you will be caught.
- If you plan to drink, choose a designated driver before going out.
- Realize before going out that every drink you have makes it more difficult to know when you’ve had too much to drive.
- Take mass transit, a taxicab, or ask a sober friend to drive you home.
- Spend the night where the activity is held.
- Report impaired drivers to law enforcement.
- Always buckle up. It’s your best defense against an impaired driver.
“This is a critical law enforcement program that can save lives during a time of the year when impaired driving traditionally increases by nearly 10 percent,” said Pam Fischer, Director of the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety. “This initiative brings attention to not only the serious fines and penalties drunk drivers can face, but the grave danger these motorists pose to all individuals on the road.”

This story is a tad off topic, yet I just got back from Chicago and wished to write about this story: Michael Lauer, the hedge fund manager who has been on trial has been found guilty by a Miami U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth A. Marra of defrauding investors during the years of 1999 and 2002 totaling more than five hundred million dollars. He must not have had a very good lawyer I would gather to guess.

Judge Marra found in a sixty-seven page order that Lauer had manipulated the prices of 7 different securities. These were a large part of the funds portfolios, which he didn’t provide a basis for such exceptionally high valuations. The Judge in question also found that he lied to investors about the hedge funds holdings. As the head of the Lancer Management Group and Lancer Management Group II, his actions were premeditated and resulted in the loss of millions and millions worth of investor’s hard earned funds. I realize that no one really suffered personal bodily injury per say but what about the emotional scars?

All in all, a ruling has not been given on the amount that Lauer will have to pay back to his victims. That amount is pending an evidentiary hearing and a fine amount decided by the Securities Exchange Commission which has to be made within sixty days or so. By the way if you happen to live in Chicago or the surrounding region and need a top drawer
Chicago Personal Injury Lawyer then I strongly wish to suggest the Budin Law offices as he is one of the finest Chicago Personal Injury Lawyer around that whole area.

The criminal trial for Lauer will begin in April for the charges in the hedge fund and according to his lawyer stated that Lauer will be pleading not guilty and will fight the charges at trial. The lawyer who is representing Lauer is Norman Moscowitz.
