According to reports there are some Adobe users that are claiming that the reason Adobe has not fixed an eight month old security issue is due to the slump in sales of Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and other software. The security problem affects Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader and the Adobe Flash Player and solution providers agree that Adobe has been dragging their feet involving what they feel is a critical issue for security of the user’s computer. On July 22, Adobe released a security advisory to users regarding the vulnerability that exists in the current version of Flash Player v 9.0.159.0 and v 10.0.22.87 for Windows, Macintosh and Linux computer platforms. One solution provider has been keeping up with the eight month issue and with complaints and has stated that users are becoming discouraged with Adobe’s lack of attention to resolving the security issue and leaving computer users vulnerable.
According to spokeswoman Alison Southwick there has been a surge in scams that involve making money from home claiming large paychecks and little risk that attract people that are vulnerable and looking for jobs. Along with credit counseling scams this appears to be among the worst. The most recent of these claims they will pay Twitter users after signing up for a free training kit and the work will involve large companies. What the Better Business Bureau says happens is that there are large monthly fees from the person signing up for this kit. One of these companies claims that after signing up it is possible to make over $800 in one day working on Twitter, along with another company that claimed that one of their employees made $390,746 in one year working for them. People with bad credit appear to be most vulnerable to this type of scam. They should seek free or non profit credit counseling to help with debt consolidation and other issues. Credit counseling is key for many people. In the terms and conditions of these companies according to the Better Business Bureau will be a monthly fee found, that usually will go into effect after a 7 day free trial, then the home business person will be charged a monthly fee that can be as low as $47 a month or $99 a month and higher.
